With summer always on her mind, Laura Leighe has been busy creating and innovating the island pop sound of her dreams, infused with a faith-filled message. The landlocked Oklahoma mer-mom’s life-long love of beach life, via Atlantic island vacays, and 10 years living and making music in Santa Monica and Venice Beach, CA, has fueled her obsession with reggae, reggaeton, and tropical dance music. Also having dedicated her life to music ministry at the age of 14, Laura has infused some of the most cutting edge, fresh, nostalgic, surf pop sounds into her passion for Christian pop and R&B. 

 

Featured on spots like ESPN’s broadcast of Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball, and TLC's 90 Day Fiance, Happily Ever After?, her upcoming reggae pop single, “Thunder” has been igniting NBA fans excitement, and is all set to explode on playoff party playlists and arenas worldwide! It’s been compared to the energetic reggae party pop vibes of Gwen Stefani, Ace of Base, Ariana Grande, and Magic!, and is now available for pre-order!

 

In Laura Leighe’s previous albums, the 2013 self titled, ‘Laura Leighe,’ and 2017 ‘Swanky’ she has channelled sirens of the golden age with a whole new swagger. Her undeniably bold approach to retro and electro swing pop combined vintage keys and brass with modern pop and electronic beats, containing “some of the catchiest dance hooks made today.” - MusicBed. 

 

For the last decade, the LA / OKC based recording artist and songwriter has been 

turning heads, and more importantly ears on both club and radio DJ’s playlists

across the globe. Her breakout single ‘Boys Just Wanna Have Fun’  soared in

the US and UK dance club scenes, and was featured on season 31 of MTV’s

‘The Real World,’ ranking Top 5 on the ‘Music Week Pop Dance Club Chart’

and #27 on ‘Billboard’s Dance Club Chart.’

 

Laura’s 2018-19 EDM collaborations with artists like Leo Dynamic 1, “Wildfire” have been featured on several TV shows, including Bravo TV’s ‘Summer House,’ and ‘Botched,’ as well as Maui’s Imua Color Music Festival, and continue to light up the summer tropical party playlists.

 

Laura is more thrilled than ever to be making her upcoming album “Eyes to the Sky,” which returns to the Christian Pop \ Crossover roots from her first album, Laura Gossett - ‘Unreal’ circa 2009…only this time with a tropical twist! A bit of a summery genre bender, you can expect reggae, reggaeton and Hawaiian tiki sounds mixed with Christian R&B/ country pop sounds.
